CHALLENGE

Solar Alberta’s branding had become outdated, and their website was difficult to navigate due to an overabundance of information. Their goals were to expand their demographic to include a younger audience, and continue to be the trusted community resource on solar energy in Alberta.

SOLUTION

A bright and bold identity system was developed. Through the use of colour and shape, the logomark represents both the sun’s rays and solar panels. The icon aligns with the typography used, visually centering the elements and giving the mark a cohesive feel.

The typography chosen is bold and youthful, bringing a feeling of confidence to the mark, helping to instill trust in the brand. The angular lines found in the logo act as a grid when creating branded collateral.

The bright colour palette is primarily inviting and warm, with the blue acting as a neutral that is reminiscent of solar panel materials.
